Description: THIS DIGITIZED MAP WAS CREATED BY SCANNING A HARDCOPY OF THE FIRM (FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP). THE ELECTRONIC FILE WAS THEN SCALED AND TRANSLATED TO BEST OVERLAY AND MATCH THE OREM CITY NAD27 BASE MAP. THE RESULTING SHAPE FILE WAS THEN CREATED BY TRACING THE FLOOD ZONES. AS A RESULT, THIS DATA IS NOT ENTIRELY ACCURATE. IN FACT, BECAUSE THE PHYSICAL LAND CHARACTERISTICS HAVE CHANGED SO MUCH SINCE THIS MAP WAS ORIGINALLY CREATED, A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE MAP SHOULD TAKE PLACE SO THAT IT CAN BE PROPERLY UPDATED BY FEMA.
